Training seminar for teachers and teacher trainers Retraining of School Educators on the Application of ICTs in Education was held in Druskinenkai, Lithuania. The seminar was organized by the UNESCO IITE in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania. The seminar grounded on the IITE instruction materials Elementary ICT Curriculum for Teacher Training. This seminar was a part of the IITE regular training activity.

Teacher trainers, instruction support specialists and school administrators were the target group of this event which was aimed to promote developing strategies and syllabi for ICT integration in general education.

During the plenary session the well-known international specialists from Austria, Norway and Russian Federation shared their experience on the basic issues of ICT integration in secondary education. After general discussion the participants were engaged in guided individual and group activity modeling real projects of ICT integration in teaching/learning process. The results of this project activity were considered during the final discussion.

At the end of the seminar all the trainees got an In-Service Training Certificate.
